A leading UK manufacturer of engineering plastic materials, components and composites to a wide range of industries which include aerospace, electrical, transport and general engineering.
We currently have the following vacancy based at the Birmingham head office:
**Quality Engineer**:

- Key responsibility to liaise with other stakeholders throughout the organisation to ensure that the QA system is functioning well
- Where appropriate advise on process changes and their implementation and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards
- Perform internal audits to ensure maintenance of high-level operational quality, in compliance with AS9100 together with customers own specifications and requirements
- Manage certifications/documents for release of final products to the required quality standards as per customer specification in given timescales
- Work closely with different stakeholders to swiftly resolve quality issues to prevent future quality costs to the business
- Ensure that the service provided by the company is fit for purpose and meets both external and internal requirements
- Produce data and report on performance measuring against set indicators
- Arrange and coordinate Quality meetings, perform Root Cause Analysis of NCs and instigate Corrective Actions
- Lead, document and resolve RCAs for customer's key quality concerns in the existing manufacturing processes
- Create work instructions for new processes and review and update existing work instructions
- Manage and define the tasks of other quality team members where appropriate and monitor their implementation
- Interpret customer drawing and conduct manual dimensional inspection
- Diploma or Graduate in Mechanical /Industrial Engineering
- Qualified and experience Auditor of AS 9100 (preferred)
- Hands on experience in Manufacturing engineering
- Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder collaboration and management
- Well organised, disciplined, self-motivated, creative, and adaptive team player
- Willingness to take on changing responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Additional details**:
Hours are 36.5 per week 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday-Thursday,
Friday 8.00am to 12.30pm

**Salary**: £30,000 to £32,000 PA dependant upon experience
