Vision for Education are seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a local school in Bradford to start as soon as possible.

**About the role**:
You will be working under the guidance of the teacher to support and ensure students with SEND have the best possible experience in lessons in a caring and respectful environment. You must have the ability to inspire and develop pupils in all areas of learning and achievement, a commitment to contributing to school life and community, and have a passion for learning and raising standards. Previous experience of working with children with SEND is preferred but not essential and other backgrounds will be considered.

**About the school**:
We cater for pupils aged 3 to 19 years with communication and interaction needs including autism and complex learning needs along with associated difficulties such as sensory processing needs. The school also runs a Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) for Early Years pupils to support their continued placement in mainstream settings. Admissions to the school and the DSP are via the Local Authority SEND or SEND Early Years departments.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of SEND Teaching Assistant you will:

- Have a desire to engage and support children and young people in learning and education
- Previous experience of working in an educational or care setting with children, young people, or vulnerable adults with learning difficulties
- Have a calm, patient, and empathetic nature

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- to have or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
