**About The Role**:
We are expanding and are really excited to be looking for a Life Underwriters (individual policies) to join our fantastic established team.
You'll report directly to our team based in Exeter, but we would love to hear from experienced Underwriters & Pre-underwriters who are comfortable working from home. We offer remote working as well as/or working from our Exeter office or our other location in Bournemouth.
Some visits to Exeter may be necessary for key events and training (all expenses will be met).
You’ll be part of a wider team and have all the support you need, so whether you’re on the doorstep of the office or a bit further away, let’s talk about what an opportunity here could look like for you.

Note these roles are 12 month Fixed Term Contracts

**About You**
We're keen to hear from Underwriters or pre-underwriters with a background covering Life, Critical Illness and Income Protection who have worked on Individual policies. You will have gained this experience in a similar role and be looking for a new challenge to further develop your skills and experience.
You’ll be expected to work on your own initiative as well as within a team. You will have excellent organisational skills in-order to balance personal and team priorities. You’ll be someone that builds great team relationships and be willing to help and support your colleagues.

**Key skills & experience**
- Have a genuine passion for underwriting bringing experience from Life, Critical Illness, Income Protection / Medical Underwriting
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Strategic thinking
- Have the drive to develop and grow within the role
- Evidenced completion of CII is desirable
- Proven experience in underwriting large cases/high sums assured is desirable
