Supporting a Small Group of Children's Homes | Driving Positive Change Across Services

We're recruiting on behalf of a client who creates safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environments where children and young people can heal, grow, and thrive.

We are now seeking an exceptional **Responsible Individual** to oversee and support a group of homes across the Midlands. This is a pivotal leadership role, offering the opportunity to shape services, mentor teams, and ensure the delivery of outstanding, child-centred care.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, mentoring, and supporting Registered Managers across several Ofsted-registered homes.
- Promoting a positive, values-led culture focused on safety, wellbeing, and outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.
- Leading safeguarding strategy, serious incident oversight, and embedding learning.
- Driving quality assurance, audits, and service improvement plans.
- Supporting leadership development and succession planning across the organisation.
- Acting as a bridge between the homes and senior leadership, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Building strong relationships with external professionals, local authorities, and sector forums.
- Contributing to ethical and sustainable service development.

What You’ll Bring

**Essential**:

- Proven senior leadership experience within children’s residential care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Excellent understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding frameworks, and sector legislation.
- Strong communication, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Experience in building and sustaining high-performing teams.

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience as a Responsible Individual or with multi-home oversight.
- Knowledge of therapeutic or trauma-informed practice.
- Experience in the growth or development of new services.
