Trust Registrar in Acute Medicine

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trust Grade Registrar to join our Acute Medical Unit at Ealing Hospital.
We have a busy 30 beds AMU which sees the majority of acute medical admissions to the Trust. The post holder will be expected to be able to provide cover to the unit and support the consultants in AMU in providing medical leadership on the unit. It is an excellent opportunity to gain/develop experience in Acute Medicine.
This post also requires participation on the acute on call rota Band 1B, where you will have the opportunity to develop your leadership in providing out of hours cover across the acute hospital.
**Essential**:
- GMC registration
- Solid grounding in clinical medicine
- Some evidence of involvement in audit and/or presentations
- Sound general medical knowledge
- Sound communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Keen to learn and train in busy Major Acute Hospital

(b) The appointee will be expected to attend and actively participate in Departmental and other teaching sessions.
(c) It is expected that the appointee will assist with the teaching of
undergraduate medical students attached to the firm and postgraduate doctors.
(d) The appointee is welcome to participate in Clinical Audit and clinical governance activities within the department of Acute Medicine.
