**The Essence of the Role**
Working in a well-established accounts team of 4, you will be working from the Head Office based in Lichfield. As Payroll Assistant, you will take full responsibility of a 4 weekly payroll for 600+ employees using Sage.
Interviews will be arranged as soon as possible for this role, 1st stage is likely to be virtual and 2nd stage will be face to face.
**Scope of the Snr Payroll Specialist**
- Processing 4 weekly end to end payroll
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating payroll processes
- To deal with employee’s payroll queries, to maintain and update payroll data as per business requirements
- To liaise with HMRC where necessary
- The applicant would need to update all statutory payments as appropriate: SSP, SMP and SPP, and would need to be able to submit all RTI/FPS returns to HMRC
- Calculate pensions and manage auto enrolment, and to process attachment of earnings
**Prerequisites**
- Previous payroll experience is essential
- Must be fully conversant in the use of Sage line 50 payroll system
- Office based role - remote working not an option
- Excel experience is preferred
