**About This Job**:
This role ensures the alignment of existing information systems with business requirements across global value chain. This includes Research (DDR), Medical & Development (M&D), Pharmaceutical Technology (PT), and Quality Assurance (QA) globally for a certainfunction. This position will collaborate with Programs & Projects (PP) and Application Life Cycle Management (ALCM) Teams in order to advise the organisation in the definition of new or improved technologies related to information management in support ofthe business thus enhancing the value of information to the business.
**Essential job responsibilities**:
Relationship Management by partnering with business functions counterparts to ensure alignment for one of the Global Value Chain customers between business and IS strategy and advising to the business by leveraging the best resources inside and outside theorganization to make the right technology decisions.
Performing impact scans to understand the market place for certain information needs.
Identifying opportunities for evolution and innovation of the applied business information systems
Initiating and managing R&D Partner projects
Following and understanding the direction and context of business and IT developments, with the implications of these developments for specific solutions related to business function processes.
Clearly describing business function needs and issues for IT solutions development and collaborating with ALCM Team to maintain the solutions
Participating in global or cross-regional project teams and managing the governance, support and change management models
Managing software, licenses and support contracts
**Essential Knowledge & Experience**:
Good experience in managing vendors
Very good experience in multinational IT department
Can manage a small number of external, third party or external staff
Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration and social skills, be analytical and demonstrate an ability to acquire new skills
Knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL and interfaces and middleware Solutions desired
**Education and Qualifications**:
Graduates or Masters degree on IT, Business Administration or equivalent
**Additional Information**:
An equivalent wok experience in the above fields is also acceptable.
