We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Strategy and Integration team to develop a shared local plan between health and care partners for enabling our most deprived communities to access employment opportunities across our local workforce. The post holder will work collaboratively with key local stakeholders to develop a robust project plan to deliver key actions which will have a tangible impact upon our understanding of workforce gaps, barriers and potential enablers to support our local community in accessing employment opportunities
The post holder will fulfil the following key tasks;
- Using project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to support delivery of key actions including: - Mapping key workforce gaps that need addressing, current recruitment entry routes available and relative success in target populations
- Engaging with and understanding our most deprived communities’ experience and views on health and care career pathways, identifying relevant barriers and potential enablers
- Testing some new approaches within the target populations
- Developing insights that will enable health and care partners to influence major emerging skills and workforce development projects in the local area and inform our ICS level People Plan.
- Undertaking a short piece of research to inform a draft partnership plan for increasing recruitment into our local health and care workforce from deprived communities working closely with internal and external stakeholders
The Queen Elizabeth Hospital has circa 500 beds, 28 wards and serves a population of around 278.000 people who live in the three counties of Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and Lincolnshire.
