Community Care Support Worker

**Overview**
**Duties**:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Implement behaviour management strategies to support clients with challenging behaviours.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to assist clients with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the client's home, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to healthcare professionals or family members.
**Skills**:
- Strong knowledge of patient care principles and practices.
- Experience in medication administration and understanding of medical terminology.
- Proficiency in meal preparation that caters to specific dietary needs.
- Ability to manage behaviours effectively, demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting clients with mobility issues.
- Previous experience in nursing homes, hospice care, or senior care settings is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
- A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Pay: From £12.44 per hour
