**Job Title**: Senior Finance Assistant
**Reports To**: Head of Finance

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent
**Pay**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

HOME is on a mission to redefine the standards of in-house services for residents of skyscrapers. We are the exclusive in-house partner for 35 residential towers across Manchester City Centre, offering a range of premium services with a commitment to quality and integrity.

**Job Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Advanced Financial Management**:

- Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, including complex reconciliation and dispute resolution.
- Preparing and managing higher-volume invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Conducting detailed financial analysis to assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, management accounts, and comprehensive reports for senior management.
- Managing and maintaining financial databases and implementing system improvements.

**Payroll and Pensions**:

- Managing the full payroll process, including processing payments, reviewing timesheets, handling rotas, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC regulations.
- Administering pension schemes, including employee enrollment, contribution management, and compliance with pension auto-enrollment regulations.
- Coordinating with HR to ensure payroll-related changes, such as new starters, leavers, and salary adjustments, are processed accurately and on time.
- Preparing payroll reports and ensuring correct deductions for taxes, national insurance, and pension contributions.

**Budget Control and Reporting**:

- Leading the preparation, monitoring, and tracking of budgets, providing variance analysis to the Head of Finance.
- Coordinating monthly and yearly closing processes and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supporting the development of financial policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.

**Coordination with Stakeholders**:

- Acting as a primary liaison between the finance department and other internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Coordinating with external auditors, vendors, and suppliers regarding financial transactions, payments, and contracts.
- Managing compliance activities and supporting internal and external audits.

**Administrative Support**:

- Providing senior administrative support, including managing high-priority communications, scheduling, and document management for the finance team.
- Assisting in the implementation of new office procedures and practices to streamline financial operations.

**Team Support and Development**:

- Assisting in onboarding new starters, handling HR-related paperwork, and supporting payroll processing, including managing rotas and timesheets.
- Providing guidance to junior finance team members, ensuring accuracy in financial processes and adherence to company policies.

**Other Duties**:

- Handling petty cash and performing bank reconciliations.
- Identifying process improvements and automation opportunities within financial administration tasks.
- Engaging in other finance-related projects as directed by the Head of Finance.

**Skills and Qualifications**:
**Educational Background**:

- Associate’s or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.

**Technical Skills**:

- Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, including experience with pivot tables, v-lookups, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Google Suite and cloud-based financial management tools.

**Soft Skills**:

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience liaising with senior management and external partners.
- High level of discretion in handling confidential information.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a financial administration or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of advanced accounting principles, payroll management, and pension administration.
