Accredited by the Forest School Association (FSA), Ashton House Nursery run forest school sessions in on-site woodlands at both Ashton Hayes and Frodsham sites where unrivalled, substantial natural space is abundant and encourages children to explore nature and take risks in a safe environment, to further develop their resilience, self-belief and character.

Ashton House are proud to provide children with a unique experience, incorporating daily access to on-site allotments and orchards and farmyard animals including pigs, goats and hens in children's daily learning experiences.

Ashton House operate a comprehensive SEN and Inclusion policy and work closely with parents to ensure that each individual child’s needs are met and work alongside a dedicated development mentor for colleagues to embed the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to ensure best practice.

Due to recent expansion, Ashton House Nursery are looking for experienced, Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioners & Nursery Assistants who share our passion and vision for outdoor childcare, to join their rapidly growing team.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Ensure that all children attending the setting are kept safe and to provide every child with the freedom to connect with nature, take risks and test out their ideas through authentic 'hands on' experiences.
- Observe, support and extend children’s learning.
- Plan appropriately for children using the EYFS framework.
- Maintain accurate and effective observations, tracking support sheets, planning and children's learning journeys.
- Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members.
- Demonstrate good practice with regard to additional needs and inclusion.

**Requirements**:

- A relevant level 2/3 qualification in Childcare (though full training will be provided for unqualified applicants).
- A good knowledge of the EYFS and experience of working with children and families.
- Awareness and understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
- Experience of working in partnership with parents and outside agencies.

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
