Job Title: Trainee Design Engineer

Location: Swindon

**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,000

An exciting employment opportunity has arisen for a Trainee CAD Designer to join a well-established furniture production company based in Swindon.

The company operate Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD however training will be given on the packages if required. As a CAD Designer, you will be required to assist in maintaining the library of standard products and build up to preparing drawings from initialconception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

- Experience of using Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD - requirement to have experience with CAD software is preferred, however training on the software can be provided
- Assist with maintaining the company library of standard products
- Manage changes to product designs
- Update and record keeping of technical drawings
- Co-ordinate with internal & external team members/design teams/project teams where required
- Liaise with colleagues, other departments, and project teams with respect to drawing requirements
- Ensure that drawings are prepared, stored, issued, and archived in accordance with company procedures

- Accurate and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, make decisions, manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
