Getting your car maintained or fixed shouldn’t be scary - as Retail Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll play a key role within our Aftersales functions. You’ll make our customers feel well at home and receive an outstanding experience, as you give their beloved motor some well-deserved TLC in state-of-the-art workshops using the latest tools and technology.
Whatever your background or experience level, if you’re an automotive technical guru, you could be the Retail Vehicle Mechanic we’re looking for. Whether you’re newly qualified, semi-skilled, and MOT tester or even a master technician / mechanic, from a prestige, volume franchised or independent garage, as long as you’re dedicated to providing the best possible service getting your hands dirty, you’ll fit right in.
What do you need to succeed as a Retail Vehicle Mechanic?
- A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds/ NVQ Level 3
- A full driving licence
- Your own set of tools
- Ability to prioritise own workload
- To report current and possible future vehicle faults
- Ordering parts from suppliers as required
- To maximise use of technical knowledge and skills to achieve effective, economic and safe service / repair of customers vehicles
- Excellent understanding of equipment, tools, systems and processes within a service department
- Proven Experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
