Speech and Language Therapist

Shire Healthcare Services are currently recruiting for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to work with a client of ours in North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The successful Speech and Language Therapist will join a neurological rehabilitation service supporting adults with communication and swallowing disorders under an evidence-led specialist program.

This position is permanent, full-time - 37.5 hours per week.

The role:

- Assessing and supporting complex patients with communication, cognitive, social and speech difficulties
- Work as a ‘keyworker’ for a caseload of patients and their family
- Undertake a key role within an established multidisciplinary team
- Effectively assess your interventions and their success using agreed outcome measures
- Ensure a patient-centered approach is at the core of your treatment

The ideal Speech and Language Therapist:

- Holds a relevant Degree/Diploma in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registered with the HCPC
- Experience of working with aphasia, cognitive communication disorders, dysarthria or dysphagia
