You have an understanding of substance misuse and associated health and social issues and experience of working with young people in an addictions or social care setting. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Aquarius as an Outreach Practitioner.
Aquarius is part of Recovery Focus, a national group of charities highly experienced in providing specialist support services to individuals and families living with the effects of mental ill health, drug and alcohol use, gambling and domestic violence. Right now, we’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join us at our service in Northampton. NGAGE with Aquarius is an early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18 in Northamptonshire. Our service provides information, education, advice and support to young people in relation to drug and alcohol use. Your challenge? To identify and support the needs of young people who use substances, or are affected by a parents or carers substance use, at the earliest opportunity to prevent the need for more intensive intervention. You will deliver a range of intervention methods and deliver interventions to young people across a range of sites, including home visits, schools and community venues on an outreach basis to maximise access and engagement. You will also be expected to maintain written records and data as well as work effectively and positively as a team member.

This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post-holder to work 37 hours per week.
