We’re responsible for Land Transaction Tax and Landfill Disposals Tax. Our work raises revenue to support public services, like the NHS and schools, in communities across Wales. But that’s not all, we're also involved with and support future tax design for Wales.

**Job description**:
You will be a key player within the Private Office team, supporting our Governance Manager in the smooth running of our Board and a number of executive committees.
- You will need to be a highly organised and an adaptable team player, who is able to deliver at pace and contribute to an inclusive working environment.
- Minute taking, drafting agendas and commissioning meeting papers is a critical aspect of the role.
- You will need to enjoy interacting with others and building relationships as the role is varied and involves providing support across the organisation. You will need to be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- You will need to have the ability to plan, organise and manage your own time as well as the time of committee members.
- We are looking for an individual who can work well under pressure, someone who can appreciate that the WRA is growing and with that you will have to adapt to a changing environment.
- The Private Office team are at the centre of a lot of activity with each team member getting involved in a range of activity to support the wider WRA deliver its objectives.
This is an opportunity to be part of a small team at the heart of the WRA - one which supports our Chief Executive, Board and Committees and our leadership team - Tim Arwain. You’ll get insight into a range of strategic topics and discussions from across the organisation. We’re continuously developing and improving our ways of working, and you can help us do that

- Support the Governance Manager by:
- Opportunity to support the Governance Manager on wider aspects of their role such as: board appointments, committee effectiveness and strategy days
- Working with tact and diplomacy when handling or having sight of sensitive information and attention to detail is key due to the nature of some of the work covered.
- Support in the organisation of WRA wide events
- Keep governance related intranet pages up to date
- Work flexibly across Private Office to support the Chief Executive and Tim Arwain
