We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our inspiring and friendly team at our Grove Court Service.

Your role will be a fixed based position working from our Grove Court in Staffordshire. You will work on a bank contract, With a salary of £9.55 - £10.88. You can read more about the rewards you will receive on the full advert on our website.
Our Grove Court service is a CQC registered residential home where we provide 24 hour support for up to 12 people. We provide flexible, responsive and needs-led care to aid peoples recovery and enabling them to live independently. We have an experienced team here, which includes the registered manager and team leader who both help our dedicated team of Support Workers maximise independence for the people who use our service.
How will you make a difference?
Provide key worker support to individuals living with mental illness, including one to one individual or group support, liaising with other mental health agencies on behalf of people who use our services
Enable individuals to self manage their personal and domestic resources and to undertake activities of daily living
Develop a rapport based on respect and honesty, the post holder will at all times work within clear professional boundaries and the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct
Enable and encouraging individuals to find out about local services and facilities within their community and facilitate access to alternative services where specific needs are identified
Familiar with individual Care/Recovery Plans and support people who use our services in achieving their goals
Carry out all needs assessments, individual safety and support planning within organisational and legislative requirements.
Work with service users in developing, reviewing, monitoring and adapting support and safety plans
Liaise with other external agencies, complimentary therapies and community groups on behalf of people who use our services
Undertake assessments in conjunction with statutory partners as appropriate to identify housing related support needs of those referred to the service
Who I am?
Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and embedding the ethos of recovery into your own practice.
The ability to make a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s situation and needs; to develop, implement and review risk management plans and devise support plans to meet these needs.
QCF Diploma or NVQ level 3 in Care or Certificate in Community Mental Healthcare (or working towards) or an equivalent qualification.
