**Job Title: Security and Facilities Officer**
**Salary: £10 per hour**
**Working Hours: 8am until 5.30pm. 5 days out of 7 with some Saturday working required on a rota basis.**

Due to our continued growth a fantastic opportunity has arisen to join TMT First as a Security and Facilities Officer.

**The Opportunity**

The Security and Facilities Officer role is to provide a visible uniformed deterrent on site to contribute to the safety and security of the business and staff.

Duties will include:

- To monitor materials/products on site and prevent theft.
- To provide a visible uniformed deterrent, to contribute to the safety and security of the business and staff.
- To observe and report incidents.
- To undertake staff, visitor, and contractor searches.
- To remain vigilant for threats including theft.
- To monitor the site fire, intruder, and CCTV systems where appropriate
- To highlight all breaches of security procedures
- Keeping the site secure and Health & Safety compliant.
- Undertaking perimeter checks and reporting potential threats.
- Ensure that all stock passed through security is cleared to pass.
- Assist with facilties tasks as required.
- Always maintain a professional manner.
- Ensure the security area is always manned.
- Report any issues with CCTV/Security systems immediately.
- Conforms to business and customer security and compliance policies
- Contributes to maintaining a safe working environment and raises Health and Safety concerns in a timely manner.

**About You**

You will:

- Hold a valid SIA licence
- Have the initiative to work alone and as part of a team
- First Aid trained preferred but not essential
- Security experience preferred
- Have good communication skills
- Have basic IT skills
- Be flexible in regard to working hours
- Be honest with high levels of integrity
