Page Personnel are recruiting for a Payroll Specialist to join a company with headquarters in the UK. This role will be fully remote working from home.

**Client Details**

The company are an impressive business within the renewable energy industry, and they are looking to on board a new dedicated Payroll Professional into the team.

his position is responsible for ensuring all processes affecting payroll are carried out timely and accurately for a population of approximately 2100 employees across three payrolls. Being able to work with and manage an external payroll provider is keyto the success of their payroll.

**Description**
- Responsible for day-to-day management of external payroll provider.
- Perform monthly controls to validate accuracy of payroll input and output, working closely with our external provider to resolve any issues/queries before giving final payroll approval.
- Responsible for final payroll sign off and pay slip checks for three payrolls - Great Britain, Northern Ireland, and Republic of Ireland.
- Responsible for monthly reconciliations and compliance checks.
- Provide manual inputs such as non-recurring payments, and Euroleave as per deadlines for monthly payroll.
- Manual tracking of SSP and Company Sick Pay for all employees.
- Post payroll data submissions to third parties eg. Pension providers, Child Maintenance.
- Identify improvement activities and automations to increase efficiency and payroll quality.
- Support in audits, providing all payroll related requirements.
- Collaborate with the rest of the local HR Services team on other payroll impacting processes in the areas of Workforce Administration, Benefits, Absence & Leave, and Global Mobility.
- Manage complex payroll queries and escalations.
- Manage payroll related policy changes and/or implementations (company and legal/statutory). Ensure compliance of these via our external payroll provider.

**Profile**
- Strong and demonstrable vendor management capabilities. (Working as part of an outsourced payroll model is desirable)
- Must be highly organised and structured, with the ability to work accurately under pressure to very tight deadlines
- High level of UK payroll knowledge and experience required.
- Strong knowledge of payroll relevant employment law, tax and social security legislation, and statutory reporting requirements.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles would also be desirable.
- Must be able to work independently with a proven ability to pro-actively problem solve.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication styles for the appropriate audience.
- Detailed oriented working style - accuracy is key to this role.
- Strong Excel skills - ability to design and use macros would be highly desirable.
