Concept Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Resource Planner to support a leading IT Services and Solutions Organisation.
You would be working as key part of the Planning team and responsible for resource planning and co-ordination for the Professional Services Team.
The purpose is to provide Resource allocation support for Technical Resources within the Services Division. Support for all aspects of the Resource Management of technical services, from design and bid responses to pre-staging or onsite delivery.
**Role information**:
- £24,000 per annum
- Monday - Friday working week
- 9.00am - 17.00pm
- Site based working
- Permanent opportunity
**Responsibilities**:
- Allocate resources to the projects, matching their availability skills and experience with resource request specific requirements.
- Check status of resource requests with insufficient information to proceed and proactively work with resource requestors to allocation.
- Daily maintenance of Smartsheet forms and sheets.
- Validate new allocations and maintain existing bookings in the Resource Demand Planner.
- Using Microsoft Planner to manage Service Opportunities/bids and other presales activities that require Service/Solution Architecture and/or, Project Management.
- Co-ordination of administration for Contractors.
- Oversee the approvals of initial requests for contractors.
- Facilitate submission and approval of timesheets.
- Process project documentation when required using SharePoint and Docusign.
- Follow resource management processes and collaborate with Resource Manager to forecast all resource requirements.
- Establish strong departmental relationships across the organisation ensuring you go the extra mile at all
- times.
Must have experience in and be able to demonstrate:
- General experience in using Microsoft Systems: Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- At least 2 years within business/office experience.
- Experienced in working within teams and can self-manage workload and priorities, managing escalations effectively.
- Ability to work independently or in groups
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Adaptability and flexibility
- High attention to detail
**Desirable skills include**:
- Experience of working with Microsoft systems; Sharepoint, Planner, Smartsheet and Teams.
- Experience in assigning professionals to resource requests.
- Managing resource demand from Projects, Support and Sales.
- Experienced with complicated demand planning systems
- Understand the requirements for technical resource allocations
- Process driven, utilising systems and tools.
- Previous experience in a resource planning role within a Resource Management environment.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
