We are seeking a Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Lead to join us in our London & South East region. The role can be based out of any of our regional offices in the South East and will include regular travel across the region. You will support the UK&I HSSE Manager and operational leadership with the implementation of the Stantec HSSE Programme and progressing our SaferTogether culture. The role provides trusted advisor support and coaching to operational leadership. It is a hands-on role, working with our project delivery teams and office facilities management. You will also work closely with the wider HSSE team both in the UK&I and globally to embed and continually improve our programme.
The role requirements are varied but include influencing leadership and coaching; enabling good and best practice; governance and assurance; performance analysis, process improvements, learning from events, external collaboration, driving leading behaviours and competence.
**About You**:
You must be proactive, a great communicator, excel at building relationships, be curious and have a growth mindset. You will bring strong site based or engineering consultancy experience and a robust understanding of the design process.
A solid working knowledge of the Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations and Building Safety Act is essential, as is practical experience of office facilities management.
You will also possess a relevant Health & Safety qualification, at a minimum NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) or equivalent. IOSH Chartership (CMIOSH) is preferred but not essential.
