**Support Worker/Home Care Assistant, **with Minster Home Care

Minster Home Care is an expanding family run domiciliary care company based in York and we love to recognise and reward the hard work and commitment of all of our team.

The role entails travelling around the York area visiting clients in their own home to provide personal care and companionship services. **To apply, applicants may hold a drivers licence with access to a vehicle.**

We offer **weekly paid mileage**, **flexible hours **and have various **staff incentives **for our team**.**

**What hours would I work?**
You will work on a permanent shift pattern, leaving you free to organise and enjoy your own personal time with friends and family. We have various shifts available and operate a week 1 and week 2 rota on a continuous cycle so you have a regular working pattern.

- Mileage paid, **paid weekly, **at **45 pence** per business mile
- **Free vehicle MOT **inspection for drivers**, **or a **free bicycle service** for cyclists
- **Staff incentive - **£50 monthly voucher of your choice for Star of the Month winner
- **Contract of employment with company pension and 5.6 weeks annual leave **(pro-rata)
- **Refer a friend **scheme

**What does working as a Support Worker/Home Care Assistant involve?**
- Providing **Personal Care & Companionship services**:

- Supporting clients with **hobbies and activities**:

- Providing a range of **non-medical services**

**What happens when I start working at Minster Home Care?**
Before you meet any of our clients, you will attend an induction day at our office and a day to be trained on moving and handling people. You will be paid for this training.
After this, you will shadow a colleague so that you become comfortable and settle into your new role. As the business grows, there are often great opportunities to develop your career with various NVQ courses and accreditations available. All you need is a caring nature and a positive attitude
