Newborn Hearing Screening Programme(NHSP) at Homerton hospital is seeking a highly motivated, organised and methodical individual to join our very busy and thriving Newborn Hearing screening team. **Pre-requisites**: - Experience of handling babies (0-3 months) is essential. - Working with babies and toddlers in a formal childcare setting and with families would be useful. - Working in a formal client/patient facing role in a healthcare setting would be desirable. You will need to be able to demonstrate/meet the following required for this post: - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Basic Computing and IT skills (MS-Word, E-mails, Typing). - Experience of working in a hospital environment would be useful. - Willingness to work as part of a team with a positive 'can-do' attitude. - Travelling to weekly outpatient clinics within Hackney is required. **Additionally**: - Be able to start between 7 am - 8 am. - Be able to work on both weekend days and bank holidays (rota basis). If you do not have an OSCE/ECA in Newborn Hearing Screening, you would need to commit to appearing and passing theExternal Competency Assessment(training provided) and obtaining aLevel 3 Health Screener Diplomawithin 12-18 months (fully paid for). **Training**: Full training will be given to successful applicants. **Working Hours**: 22.5 hours per week. - Act under the leadership and management of the NHSP local manager and provide a high quality neonatal hearing screening service for babies at Homerton hospital and in outpatient clinics. - Have shared responsibility in ensuring the recording, collection and data quality of all patient data for the service. - Carry out the necessary administrative tasks associated with the patient journey. - Take personal responsibility for own learning, development and strive at all times to progress within and beyond the NHSP. - Work as part of a team, altering working patterns to accommodate the changing needs of the service, across 7 days a week, 365 days a year with regular working during weekends (Saturdays and Sundays), bank and public holidays including on Christmas day.
