**Hours - 07:30am - 4:00pm Monday - Thursday; Friday 07:30am - 13:00pm**

Stafflex are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist manufacturer and repairer of hydraulic cylinders. We are looking for a time served/apprentice trained Manual Turner. The role will entail manufacturing and machining small batchesof variously sized products.
Our client have a friendly and supportive Engineering team, who will be supporting you in the role, helping to manufacture and repair hydraulic cylinders for a market-leading audience.
**Key duties of the Manual Turner will include**:
- Setting up various jobs for a manual centre lathe
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches.
- Communicating with supervision on any issues.
- Inspecting manufactured products to ensure quality.
- Adhering to safe working practices at all times.
- Performing all necessary safety checks to ensure integrity and effectiveness of the department.
- To attend and complete any training courses if required.
- Working to tight limits in a high precision environment.
- Workshop Housekeeping.
**Key Skills and Experience of a Manual Turner**:
- Should have a strong background in Turning.
- Able to work to engineering drawings with minimum supervision.
- Able to complete tasks using own initiative.
- Willingness to comply with all HSQE requirements and procedural controls.
- Strong housekeeping and continuous improvement ethic.
- Strong team member willing to assist wherever required.
