Volunteer Co-ordinator

You will advertise recruit, interview, induct, support and supervise individuals and teams of volunteers who have various roles within a disability centre, which is also a community hub in the heart of Possilpark, Glasgow.
Possobilities Ltd have volunteer roles in various projects within the centre: drivers and helper escorts for our cook ‘n’ care daily meal delivery service from Monday to Friday day time, support assistants for social clubs in the evening & day times, tutors for learning classes, admin/receptionist, café and kitchen assistant & cleaner roles as well as for our Annexe Pitstops café round the corner.
Ensure Rotas for each project are covered, adapt quickly in cases of absence and holiday leave. Ensure travel expenses are paid to volunteers.
Build positive relationships with referrers such as job centre, social work and other voluntary sector organisations.
Build and maintain networks & partnerships.
Attend networks, workshops, training, conferences and volunteer fairs and source free training for volunteers as and when needed.
There may be one off events in the evening or weekend you may want to support as well as fundraising.
Volunteer week celebrations and Christmas dinners for volunteers will be organised by you with the support of the Possobilities team.
We are a friendly, sometimes fast paced environment where enjoyment and engagement is at the centre for our members, community, volunteers and staff.

Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £12.50 per hour
