**Compliance Oversight Officer - Funds**
**London**

As a Barclays Compliance Oversight Officer - Funds, you will join the Private Bank and Wealth Management Compliance team where your role will contribute to delivering an outstanding partnership with the business as part of a robust second line of defence. Providing critical Compliance oversight support for activities carried out by Barclays in-house fund management, overseeing activities carried out on external management companies in Luxembourg and Ireland in relation to in-house funds.

**What will you be doing?**
- Working collaboratively with core stakeholders and Legal, particularly in relation to new fund approvals, regulatory change embedment and critical document approval
- Delivering an outstanding partnership with the business as part of a robust Compliance second line of defence
- Working effectively and closely within the PBWM UK team to provide risk-based prioritisation of Compliance resource and support the team’s workload
- Providing oversight of the Private Bank & Wealth Management business as part by the Private Bank & Wealth Management Business Oversight Compliance (BOC) team
- Overseeing activities carried out on external management companies in Luxembourg and Ireland in relation to in-house funds
- Leading and managing change, dealing with a fast-developing business and complex set of overlapping and dynamic regulatory requirements
- Listening to and standing behind more junior colleagues, offering yourself up as an expert coach, guiding their delivery in a way that makes them feel empowered

**What we’re looking for**:

- Relevant experience and understanding of fund management regulation and business activities, preferably encompassing UK and EU fund management businesses
- Curiosity and ability to use insights to inform decision making
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, including at Board level
- The ability to react and escalate issues where appropriate, accepting accountability and being comfortable to challenge while also being positive and supportive of others who do so

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Previous experience of other retail investment business activities, including disclosure requirements, as well as other possible fund businesses, will be an advantage
- Educated to degree level or with equivalent professional experience

**Where will you be working?**
In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.
