**Waking Night Residential Support Worker**

**40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year**

**Salary Range £21,835 - £25,324**

**Sleep-ins paid at an extra £78.48 per night**
- (This equates to approximately_ _**£3,500 **_additional payment when working 1 sleep-in shift per week)_

This role can be both physically/emotionally demanding, and you must have the confidence/patience to adapt to the challenging behaviours that the young people can present. The role is also extremely rewarding as you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact to the lives of young people in our care.

**In order to be successful in this role you will**:

- Have a strong desire to support young people, have excellent observational skills, and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our young people to reimagine their potential
- Be a patient, caring, compassionate with a young person centered nature
- Demonstrate the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations, be a team player with experience of support work in both educational and residential settings
- Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in stressful situations
- Be able to work flexible hours as this role includes working daytime, weekends, evenings and sleep over shifts on a rota basis
- Evidence your experience of providing supervision or line managing other team members
- A **NVQ 3 in Health and Social Work would be desirable**, but not essential, as Ruskin Mill Trust will financially support you to gain this qualification

**Experience**:

- Residential Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
- SEN: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
