Our Dental Practice is situated in Hanley, Stoke on Trent, we are looking to take on a keen, motivated and reliable Apprentice Dental Nurse/ Receptionist to join our busy practice. Full training will be provided by the practice and by your apprentiship provider.

The position is for 4 days per week

You must be organised, have a positive attitude, good communication skills and be computer literate. You must have a smart and professional appearance at all times and be keen to learn.

Duties include:

- Assisting in the provision and delivery of dental care to patients
- Assist with the efficient day to day running of the practice
- Keep clinical areas, equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile.
- Provide chair side assistance, ensuring the correct equipment is available.
- Ensure the care and welfare of patients in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner.
- Accurately complete patient clinical records as directed.
- Observe patient confidentiality at all times
- Ensure adequate stocks of materials and other items within the surgery.
- Liaise with reception to ensure smooth patient communications and transfer of records.
- Attend and participate in practice meetings.
- Complete training as required to develop your skills and abilities.

Things to consider:

- You must undertake and NVQ course taking 18-24 months
- You must undertake relevant immunisations needed to comply with national protocols.
- You must undertake a DBS check.
- You must have English and Maths GCSE (Grades 5-9/ A-C equivalent)
