Powder Coating Specialist

In this position, you will work closely with our department supervisors and be responsible for training staff, optimising workflows, and ensuring that production meets the highest standards. You’ll report to the Production manager and act as a technical lead, making sure our powder coating line operates smoothly and efficiently.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and operate the powder coating process for steel fencing products.
- Become fully familiar with all equipment and machinery in the coating department, ensuring optimum performance and troubleshooting any issues.
- Provide hands-on training and support to staff, improving skills and efficiency within the team.
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to implement process improvements, increase throughput, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed in the coating department.
- Monitor and maintain equipment, performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, enhance quality, and improve overall productivity.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in powder coating, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of powder coating equipment and processes, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Ability to lead and train staff, providing clear guidance and instruction.
- Experience in working with steel or similar materials is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and the broader production team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
