**About the role**
**_I_**_n this busy and varied role, there’s never a dull day._**
- You will be the person who provides _executive support to the Group Chief Executive._That includes preparing and commissioning briefings on strategic and operational matters, ensuring the Chief Executive is fully equipped to manage _engagements_ _and stakeholder relationships, working closely with EMT and directors to ensure that _work streams_ _and projects are monitored as well as undertaking a range of projects directly on behalf of the Chief Executive. _If you are thinking this is a typical PA or similar role, then don’t._Whilst there are elements of that in the role the job provides a link between the Chief Executive and EMT to the rest of the organisation._
- After a short period of induction you will be expected to advise colleagues at all levels of the Chief Executive’s requirements and expectations and act as quality control and assurance on his behalf._You will become, if you are not already, an expert negotiator, diplomat and horizon scanner and will be able to draft exceptional, concise and incisive information covering every area of the Group’s work. _
- The role is designed to be a two-year secondment to help individuals develop and achieve career potential by working closely with EMT, Board and senior stakeholders. By the time this role is complete you will have learnt a whole host of skills and gained experience working across every part of A2Dominion._You will also have developed as a personal by working with senior leaders, the Board and external stakeholders showing diplomacy, tact and making sure that what we say we will do gets done._
You’ll have the following responsibilities:
- Provide strategic executive support to the Chief Executive as required
- Act as Chief Executive’s first point of contact internally and externally as necessary
- Manage the Chief Executive’s correspondence including drafting appropriate responses in conjunction with colleagues
- Lead on managing special projects and tasks on behalf of the Chief Executive’s Office
- Liaise with senior managers to ensure the co-ordination and timely delivery of projects and reports for the Chief Executive
- Prepare, commission and/or co-ordinate briefs from colleagues on a range of strategic matters, and incorporating quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
- Manage the Chief Executive’s internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure contacts are followed up and dealt with appropriately
- Plan and manage the Chief Executive’s attendance at events and engagements including preparing or commissioning briefings prior in conjunction with other teams
- Support to the Group Chair, non-executives and EMT as necessary.
**More about you**
For this role, we need someone with the following:
- Experience of research and preparation of briefing materials
- Knowledge of housing policy
- Good understanding of statistical information with an ability to analyse complex numbers in a variety of ways including trend analysis
- Excellent report writing skills
- Management of stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail in reviewing documents and information
- Ability to manage upwards
- High levels of internal and external political awareness
- Able to work outside of normal hours from time to time
