Hours: 09:00 - 17:00hrs with a 1 hour lunch.

**Some of the Key Tasks of a Freight Forwarding Trainee are**:
You will be given training and support to enable you to be fully proficient in the below:

- Communicate effectively in a professional manner with customers to ensure their quotation requirements are fulfilled in line with their booking instructions.
- Liaise with other DSV/Agents offices in the UK and abroad
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and other offices
- Collect pricing with approved hauliers, Airlines, Shipping lines & external vendors, confirm availability of equipment and agree prices where no tariff exists, to maximise cost effectiveness.
- Liaise with internal product teams for latest route, market, rate updates
- Ensure expected customer service levels are always maintained as voice of the customer.
- General administrative duties and issuing quotations where necessary

**Skills and Requirements**:

- Excellent Problem Solving, Planning and Organising skills
- Excellent Communication skills - Strong administrative and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure using own initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams
- Ensure expected customer service levels are always maintained as voice of the customer.
- Issuing quotations, invoicing and suppliers purchase orders. Passing airline carrier accounts.
- General administrative duties and issuing quotations where necessary
