About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Innovation - Law Enforcement (LE), a dedicated and growing innovation function working across several technology programmes and live systems being delivered to UK Law Enforcement by the Home Office. The function existsto drive benefits from these systems and programmes, develop strong evidence bases to inform future investment and development, and to unlock the latent potential of vast datasets held by the Home Office for the benefit of Law Enforcement.
The LE Innovation PMO team assure and analyse information across a programme / workstream to aid the setup of new projects and support the senior management decision making, acquiring invaluable experience for anyone aspiring to lead a PMO or move into projectmanagement.
The role will involve
Managing new business process from start to finish.
Developing and processing statement of work (SoWs), service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers, and any necessary formal agreements.
Assist with costing and planning for projects.
Deal with resourcing and commercial arrangements including; Recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities (security clearances, Poise accounts, IT requests), Workforce planning.
Implementing, updating and monitoring MS Project Plans, Risk and Issues Logs, Dependency trackers, and Project reports,
Finance - Monitoring and reporting against the team’s budgets, arranging PO’s and assisting with Invoice queries, working closely with the central Finance team
Communications - Including induction, Learning & Development and Business Continuity planning.
The role has a significant level of flexibility in its scope, and can largely be guided by the individual's skills, aspirations and interests. The role holder will be supported by a friendly, diverse and inclusive team of skilled individuals. The successfulapplicant will gain a strong strategic view of UK Law Enforcement's use of data and technology as well as exposure to a number of Programmes and Projects in delivery.
Essential Criteria

Experience of working with Project Managers and supporting a complex programme environment.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of the use of different channels and formats for different audiences.
Close attention to detail, good organisational skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective administrative processes.
Good presentation skills with experience in preparing presentations for management.
Strong experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MSPO, SharePoint
PMO finance experience, raising PO’s, accruals, recharges with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
