Technical Services Consultant

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Services Consultant to join our Fleet, Hampshire office. The role will be a fundamental part of our professional services team reporting into the Global Head of Professional Services.

**Job Purpose**
To develop, test and deliver innovative new functionality as well as improving existing code in the NavOne/5Series suite of products. To provide product support, implementation & data migration expertise and technical consultancy.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead / assist in the migration of data from incumbent to new system.
Design and amend Business Central SSRS reports.
- Follow business requirement documents and draw out the technical solutions.
- Provide quotes for development costs involved in small change or implementations.
- Lead Business Central upgrades from design to go live. Ability to provide critical care support for post go live.
- Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation.
- Taking part in technical design and progress meetings.
- Keeping accurate records of the development process, changes and results
- Analysing user requirements for feasibility, for conflicts with existing functionality and cost.
- Integrating existing software and getting incompatible platforms to work together
- Continually updating technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and external courses, reading manuals and familiarising with existing and new modules
- Contribute towards the Professional Services revenue targets by meeting the team's utilisation objectives.
- Lead customer meetings/workshops to gather and clearly document technical requirements.
- For larger prospects, work with pre-sales team to undertake chargeable scoping workshops on site with the prospect to establish the likely effort and definition of the project.
- Guide customers and advise on the most efficient method of data take-on / migration and subsequent reconciliation methods.
- Contribute to the playbook of steps required to transition the customer to live use of the NavOne product.
- Undertake ad'hoc consultancy services to deploy additional interfaces, reports or functional capabilities within the product.
- For complex product development and/or support issues, provide specialist technical, product and customer knowledge to assist in the servicing of the customer base.
- Work with colleagues and the Professional Services management team to continually improve the team's implementation methodologies and engagement with the customer base.

- Expertise in current computer hardware and software and an ability to learn new skills and technologies quickly
- Ability to use one or more development language (C#, C++, PHP, HTML, etc.)
- An eye for detail and ability to identify problems
- Analytical experience
- Technical competency in terms of code writing
- The ability to communicate with clients, colleagues and management to explain complex issues clearly and concisely;

- Good communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work constructively within a project team involving representatives from the customer and TrustQuay.
- Confident to operate individually on site with the customer.
- Energy and enthusiasm - enjoy being accountable for quality & timeliness of assignments.
- Process orientated - demonstrated ability to develop repeatable processes or improve existing processes.
- Analytical - ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Open and collaborative style - must be comfortable working in an environment where ideas are shared and challenged.

Ability to be able to travel to customer sites - foreign travel will be required once safe to do so.
