Yard Operative

**Purpose of the job**

In this role, you will take ownership of external areas/boundaries of the factory grounds. Keeping areas clear of rubbish, debris, weeds and overgrown shrubbery. You will also carry out daily cleaning of Silo base housingsand put away cleaning materials/chemicaldeliveries to the correct locked locations.

**Accountabilities**
- Clean and clear site external areas of all debris, rubbish and weeds/overgrown shrubbery.
- Daily clean of Silo base housings as per written instruction/schedule.
- Complete periodic cleaning of engineering work shop and office floors.
- Move cleaning materials/chemical deliveries to within their correct locations, ensuring safe storage and areas locked on completion.
- COSHH regulation adherence (training supplied).
- Carry out cleaning tasks in conjunction with implemented cleaning instructions.
- Reporting incidents or concerns to the managment teams.
- Role modelling the company Health & Safety policies.
- Complete relevant daily/periodic safety start up & cleaning records.
- Adhoc tasks as and when required.

**Knowledge, Experience & Skills**
- Self motivated and ecellent attention to detail.
- Experience within a food manufacturing enviroment in either a hygiene or operative position.
- A logical and safe working approach to tasks.
- The ability to work at pace.
- The ability to work as part of a team, as well as on your own.
- A hard working can do attitude.

**Salary**: £21,216.00 per year
