**No Limits **is a leading youth services charity supporting children and young people across Southampton, Portsmouth, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

**Role terms**

**Starting salary**: Band C £23,831.54 to £25,528.94 (Full Time Equivalent, pro-rata for part-time),

**Hours**: 21 to 37 hours per week - 3-5 days, Monday - Friday

**Place of work**: No Limits Base/Schools and colleges in Southampton

**Essential car user**: Yes

**About the role**

**No Limits** have an exciting opening within our Early Help team. We are recruiting for a **Youth Worker - Health and Wellbeing (Early Help)** who will offer advice, information and support to young people through open access drop-ins in Southampton schools and colleges and in the new after school open access drop in for children and young people aged 11-18 at a No Limits base along with group sessions and school holiday activity programmes.

You will provide brief interventions across all settings. Empowering young people to make positive choices/changes. You will also deliver group work and be responsible for supporting the design and delivery of educational workshops on a range of issues faced by young people including mental health, substance misuse and sexual Health and will provide one to one support.

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about supporting young people without judgement. You will be a motivated, reliable, enthusiastic worker who will join an experienced and supportive team of youth workers working with schools and colleges.

**You’ll have the essentials of**:

- Experience of working with children and young people
- Ability to build trusting and positive relationships with children and young people
- Experience and working knowledge of effective interventions with children and young people
- Ability to use IT to support your role, including the use of technology and Microsoft suite

**You may also have**:

- A Youth Work Level 3 qualification, or similar
- Experience of working with children and young people in an educational setting
- Lived experience of one or more areas that No Limits support children and young people
- Experience of engaging young people with challenging behaviours and/or complex needs
- Experience of case holding clients and maintaining client files
- Current knowledge of the issues affecting young people, mental health, relationships, substance use
- Experience of planning and delivering group sessions
