**Job overview**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a registered mental health nurse to join our specialist team based at Congleton Library, working with patients aged between 14 -65 experiencing first episode psychosis, for a 12 months fixed term contract.
We are dynamic & highly specialist team, working with an interesting client group, where there’s an opportunity to significantly impact on an individuals well-being and functioning and long-term clinical outcomes.
The role involves specialist assessment & treatment of patients presenting with symptoms of first episode psychosis. You would join a multi disciplinary team of nurses, psychiatrist, therapists, clinical support workers and peer support workers. There is a wide range of experience and skills within the team, and we are passionate about nurturing our staff to develop their skills.
We are looking to recruit a practitioner who is an enthusiastic and self-motivated and who works well within a team. Good communication skills, an ability to work in partnership with service users, carers and families, and being able to work within a multi-disciplinary team setting are essential qualities.
**Main duties of the job**:
Excellent communication, report writing and assessment skills are essential for this post. We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioner, who is motivated and committed to delivering quality and evidence based care. Applicants should have sound working knowledge of the current spectrum of mental health disorders and the Mental Health Act.
Applicants should have post registration clinical experience and be able to demonstrate the appropriate skills needed to provide an outstanding service.
Awareness and understanding of the EIPS model is essential.
Access to transport for work purposes is essential.
