**SEN Teaching Assistant**

**£87 to £100 per day**

**Kingston, Southwest London**

**ASAP Start/ Full Time/ Term Time**

The school aims to provide innovative education and a challenging environment for pupils aged 2 to 19. They specialise in educating pupils with a wide range of Physical Disabilities including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Complex Health needs. However, they are a changing population and many of their pupils now have CLDD (complex learning difficulties and disabilities). This role does have its challenges due to the range of the needs of the students, including some challenging behaviour.

**Responsibilities**:

- Working with small groups of students under the instruction of the class teacher.
- Working 1:1 with key students and adapting teaching support according to student's needs.
- Enabling all pupils to receive the appropriate amount of care and support.
- Look after children's physical, social and emotional welfare.
- Create an interesting environment for students.

**Ideal skills and requirements**:

- Experience working with children in any setting (desirable).
- Any SEN related experience in any capacity (desirable).
- Contribute an enthusiastic attitude towards learning (essential).
- Be willing to work in a challenging environment (essential).
- Be pro-active and professional (essential).
