Camhs Clinician

We are looking for proactive, creative and highly skilled colleagues to join our CAMHS in New River College Team - Islington Pupil Referral Unit Provider.

We are keen to receive applicants from any core profession, with a particular desire to recruit a Clinical Psychologist to continue representing a varied range of professions within the team.

The successful applicants will be passionate about accessible service provision and about improving health and wellbeing outcomes for some of the most vulnerable families in our borough.

This is an exciting opportunity for Band 7 clinicians.

We are therefore looking for hard working, committed, enthusiastic, collaborative and energetic clinicians to join Islington CAMHS. The applicants should be able to work with their multi agency and multi-disciplinary colleagues in a flexible and organised way.

New River College comprises of a Primary, Secondary and Medical Provision. The post holder will work across all three sites, with a particular focus on Secondary and Medical. Duties include direct assessment/intervention with young people, alongside consultation, psycho-education, facilitation of groups/reflective practice and a range of further duties. The role is highly varied and we are keen to recruit a dynamic clinician to join the team.

In return, you will be welcomed by a warm, friendly and supportive team. We meet weekly, alongside fortnightly reflective practice. We have links with the wider Islington CAMHS, and we benefit from strong links and a close working relationship with the New River College staff members.

Medical services have been delivered on the Whittington Hospital site for over 500 years. On 1st April 2011, Whittington Health was launched as a new Integrated Care Organisation (ICO) comprising The Whittington Hospital NHS Trust, NHS Islington and NHS Haringey. The Whittington and the community health services in Islington and Haringey are award winning organisations, delivering acute and community based health services to a population of 443,000 people.

The organisation is the biggest employer in the area, with over 4,500 staff; delivering healthcare not only on the acute hospital site which has 420 beds, but also from a variety of other community based health centres and through visits to patients homes across the boroughs to address the health needs of the local population. Whittington Health also works with other health, social care and voluntary sector partners to support patients and service users from their initial appointment whether it be with a community health team or at the hospital, all the way through to treatment and tailored after care.

We are one of the three main teaching campuses for the Royal Free and University College Medical School.
