As a Depot Operative, you'll be the approachable face our customers see at GAP. Your mission will be to support our trade customers and ensure a smooth operation at the depot. Your engaging daily tasks will involve managing stock, assisting customers at the trade counter, preparing orders for delivery, and driving locally to deliver our high-quality products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Welcome customers at the trade counter and address their inquiries.
- Provide insightful advice on our diverse range of products and services.
- Process sales efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of products to customers.
- Aid in the daily operations of the trade counter and depot.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with restocking as needed.
- Maintain precise records of deliveries and returns.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and address customer questions professionally.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations when driving and handling products.

**Requirements**:

- A valid UK driving license with a clean driving history.
- Previous experience in delivery driving, trade counter, warehouse assistance, or a similar role.
- Availability to work 1 in 2 Saturdays (8 am - 11 am).
- Minimum age of 21 (for insurance purposes).
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanour.
- Capability to lift and carry heavy items safely.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Familiarity with local roads and delivery routes.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.70 per hour

Expected hours: 41.5 per week
