CNWL's Single Point of Access (SPA) and Gateway provides centralised 24/7/365 access to information, advice, and triage of referrals into CNWL’s adult mental health services within NWL.

Patients have access to the SPA via one phone number. GPs and other potential referrers are able to contact a team of clinical staff (including a Psychiatrist) to discuss potential referrals.

The SPA will manage referrals, deal with queries, undertake clinical telephone triage, give advice, and signpost patients where appropriate.

The SPA team is located in a Central London location, with excellent transport links.

There is a potential opportunity within this role for flexible working and a shared working pattern with community teams.

Based in a convenient central London location near Victoria; the SPA provides a telephone triage, signposting, advice and support 24-hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days a year for patients, carers, GPs and other referrers. We are a multi-disciplinary telephone service, and a single point of access into secondary adult mental health services in the North West London boroughs of Brent, Harrow, Hillingdon, Kensington & Chelsea and Westminster.

The CAMHS SPA Team Administrator will provide administrative support to the CAMHS SPA, which is the central referral point into CAMHS services and the 24 hour single point of access for young people and their family in mental health crisis.

They will work within service level standards to deliver an efficient and effective service; dealing with telephone enquiries from patients, carers and members of the public, GPs and other healthcare professionals and statutory and non-statutory organisations. They will provide non-clinical information and advice to patients and relatives within the boundaries of the role, and take messages, respond to and pass information on in an appropriate manner; escalating issues to more senior staff appropriately.

They will manage referrals into the service, and co-ordinate and provide administrative support in relation these. They will ensure that all referrals in the CAMHs SPA inbox are managed and dealt with appropriately and promptly, all relevant information is entered onto SystmOne and referrals on SystmOne are managed are per agreed processes and guidance.
