Thatcham, United Kingdom Army - Military Provost Guard Service (MPGS) Full time

The **MPGS** provides professional soldiers to meet armed security requirements at Royal Naval, Army, RAF and other MOD bases in Great Britain. Our primary role is to counter the terrorist threat posed to military bases in Great Britain.

**Our duties include**:
**Security incident management**, such as suspicious packages, bomb threats, protests, etc.

**Patrolling site perimeters** and taking necessary action to preserve perimeter security.

**Controlling entry and exit** to a sites, managing control room operations and ensuring all visitors are dealt with efficiently

**Military Working Dog services** (at selected sites).

Stationed at **99** sites, we have our own Military Local Service Contract which allows soldiers to choose where they wish to serve, providing there is a vacancy.

**Requirements**:
**Age**: You must be over **18** years and under **57** years of age at re-enlistment.

**Background**:You must have served for at least three years on a previous engagement in any of the armed services, **including Army Reserve, RAF Auxiliary and RN Reserve.**

**Gap Since Leaving Service**:Been out for less than **6 **years for Non Substantive Cpls/LH and for Substantive Cpls/LH no more than **10** year gap (unless you have completed other forms of comparable service).

**Fitness Eligibility**: You must be medically fit and have a Body Mass Index below **32**.

Please note you will also need to have a full UK driving licence with less than **8** penalty points.
