**Job description: Kitchen Porter (Casual) (CCT Venues)**
**Responsible to: Executive Head Chef**
Job Summary
**CCT Venues** operate high quality training venues offering excellent service at all levels. The Kitchen Porter has primary responsibility for keeping a clean and tidy kitchen along with a clean and tidy wash up area.
The post holder will work together with the kitchen teams and F&B Manager(s) ensuring kitchens, catering and was up areas operate to the highest standards.
Specific responsibilities can be found below. Please note that the list is not exhaustive and additional tasks may be assigned as and when seen fit and deemed reasonable by management. This role would predominately work at both CCT Venues Bank Street and CCT Venues Smithfield depending upon operational requirements. However, work at other CCT Venues locations may be required. All venues are located in Central London.

Specific duties
- To make sure all kitchen areas are clean.
- To ensure that all wash up areas are clean and well organised.
- To ensure that the kitchen, restaurant, store rooms and other catering areas are kept well organised, tidy and clean at all times.
- To keep kitchen stores tidy and rotate stock accordingly.
- To ensure that kitchen equipment, including plates, cutlery and glasses are polished and are stored properly on daily basis.
- To make sure laundry is counted as per instructions.
- To have a good understanding of the weekly rota and regularly check for any amendments made by reception.
- To assist and manage deliveries. Ensuring that all deliveries are stored and put away as per the kitchen requirements.
- To ensure all kitchen waste is dealt with and follows company waste and CSR guidelines.
- To assist in basic food preparation if required by the chef team.
- To observe the venues health & safety procedures. You have a responsibility to work safely at all times and to report any potential hazards, faults or problems to your Line Manager.
- To attend and complete compulsory training as required. You will also be required to undertake CCT Venues compulsory training in relation to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, manual handling and COSHH. This is via the CCT Venues online training portal.
- To undertake any other duties as required.
**Experience & Skill requirements**:
- The post holder must be well presented, have the ability to undertake heavy lifting with good communication skills.
- Good English language skills are essential.
- Experience in the service and kitchen sector would be an advantage.
**Remuneration and benefits**:
- £11.05 per hour on a casual, no guaranteed hours basis.
- Participation in the Company Pension Scheme (NEST), if applicable.
- Appropriate uniform will be provided where required.
**Hours**:
CCT Venues are normally open Monday-Friday 7.00am - 7.30pm. You will be entitled to a 30-minute unpaid break if working more than six hours a day. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday and consist of either an early shift or a later shift. Hours are business dependent and flexibility will be required such as working evenings and or occasional weekends.
