Accounts Assistant - Gateshead
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a well-established firm of financial planners with many years advising both private and corporate clients on a wide range of financial planning issues.

The role
This will be a varied role working closely with the company accounts supervisor. You will assist with the following:
- Recording of income coming into the business:
- On a daily basis 'make live' the electronic statements which upload over night to the income model.
- Match individual cash receipts to previously uploaded provider statements.
- Match client paid fees to the plan/client within the Client Management Database.
- Assist in monitoring commissions.
- Retrieve and upload manual statements.
- Review Unallocated fees on individual provider statements and investigate why they are unallocated, facilitating any changes to enable fees to be matched.
- Ensure all provider statements received are scanned / uploaded to the relevant folder.
- Commission Tasks:
- Following pipeline check the initial fees have paid and that the ongoing has been set up and paying correctly.
- Check ongoing fees are paying correctly following fee changes due to withdrawals or client reviews.
- Assist with analysis work in preparation for Income Month End Reconciliations (checking adviser splits have been applied; ensuring recurring income payments have started following new business).
- Assist with ad hoc projects such as the reallocation of clients to new advisers, keeping a record of all changes and co-ordinating the process with the wider team.
- Produce any invoices with regards to company fees.
Have a good knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Intelligent Office would be advantageous however this is not essential.
Key attributes required for this role are to be organised, methodical, accurate and to be able to analyse data.
A good standard of school education is also preferred.
