**About the Role**:
At Include In Autism, we believe that all people are capable of change, engagement, and achievement, leading to positive choices about their lives and futures. We aim is to empower each person with the skills to manage risk, build self-esteem, enhance competence, and work towards stabilisation after they leave our service.
The role of a support worker involves a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach to support young people in achieving improved emotional stability and behavioural control. You will be part of a ‘whole team’ effort to provide a safe environment where people can explore, understand, and develop improved resilience.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in health and social care.
- Completion of a Level 3 diploma or willingness to work towards it and complete it within the first 2 years of employment.
- Experience working in a similar setting with children with autism, learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, and young people is essential.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to work in this setting.
- A satisfactory DBS check and references checks as part of our Safer Recruitment process.
- The right to work in the UK full-time without sponsorship. _**We do not offer sponsorship at the moment.**_
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to respond to crises and be very flexible.
