Takeaway Assistant

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff in daily tasks, including cooking and plating dishes.
- Engage with customers, providing assistance and upselling menu items when appropriate.
- Handle basic maths tasks related to inventory management and order processing.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Help with stock management, including receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Basic culinary skills with an eagerness to learn more about food preparation techniques.
- Ability to upsell menu items and provide exceptional customer service.
- Basic maths skills for handling orders and inventory.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others within the team.
