On behalf of our client, we are looking to recruit a TTRO Officer.
Essex Highways (EH) is responsible for managing and maintaining one of the largest highway networks in the country. EH is a delivery partnership between Essex County Council (ECC) and our client.
In this role you will work alongside our contractual partner to deliver highways services. You will assist with the investigation and monitoring of streetworks, support and assist with the co-ordination of a range of resources, maximising opportunities to deliver our network management duty and safety for the travelling public.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the Senior Temporary Traffic Regulation Officer (Senior TTRO Officer) and other Senior Officers to ensure delivery of the Essex Highways and Essex Permit Scheme objectives
- Take ownership of your own workload whilst assisting with the team’s workload as capacity allows
- Ensure that any relevant system, trackers or monitoring documents are kept up to date and accurate
- Have a working knowledge of all Streetworks processes
- Help the Senior TTRO Officer ensure that enquiries and complaints from members of the public, elected members, officers throughout the council and external agencies in relation to the service are responded to accurately and are within the required timescales
- Assist on projects and initiatives agreed with the Senior TTRO Officer and other Senior managers
- Responsible for providing advice, guidance and information to stakeholders, partners, and customers
**About You**
- GCSE grades A-C/9-4 in Maths and English
- Working knowledge of Streetworks permits and closure processes
- We are looking for a thorough, disciplined and detailed oriented person
- Ability to think logically
- Ability to follow clearly defined processes and work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work well and co-operate as a member of a team displaying good levels of self-control
- Ability to communicate logically and objectively with a range of different stakeholders
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working
