**About the Role**:
Indirect buyer provides purchasing, procurement and contract management support across multiple business units including, strategy development and implementation.

**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Interact with indirect (Energy, MRO/Temporary Labor) leaders to optimize indirect supply conditions.
- Prepare and execute indirect contract negotiations in alignment with facility needs.
- Drive the quotation processes, define evaluation criteria, identify and select suppliers, execute the evaluation process, refine and validate sourcing and purchasing options, manage buy-in of business unit leaders.
- Responsible to build sound relationships with suppliers and partners (internal and external)
- Manage contract information to ensure that portfolio has consistent information and renewals, or termination due date are under control.
- Continually look for ways to exceed customer’s expectations, increase efficiency implement better processes and achieve cost savings globally.
- For each procurement project, develop a tactical plan for project execution, including clearly defined accountabilities of each team member.
- Execute awarding procedures and inform supply base of unsuccessful tenders.
- Selects sourcing approach for a specific commodity that will yield the best combination of price, quality and service.
- Set and SLA’s and KPI’s in conjunction with the commodity required.
- Direct and project-based purchasing activities will be assigned also.

Safety & Environmental
- Ensures Environmental Health & Safety policy is always adhered to.
- Promotes Environmental Health & Safety awareness.
- Responsible for adhering to EHS procedures & policies to ensure compliance.

**Required Education & Experience**:

- Clean Driving License.
- IT skills (to be able to use company business system with initial training).
- Good interpersonal skills
- Exposure to NEC contracts (or similar)

System or Knowledge
- Knowledge of SAP, Netsuite, MRP would be advantageous.

Other Features of job
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- This role is based at our Head Office at Birmingham Business Park, 0900 to 1700, including 30-minute paid break 5 days a week.
- Travel between TAE Sites in the UK will be required.
