In the role you will be assisting in leading the Private Client Department in providing Deputyship and Trustee support to clients who have personal injury or clinical negligence claims, and which involve the management of substantial compensation awards. **?Main Responsibilities**:
- You will be running your own small caseload of Deputyship and Trustee matters, both pre and post settlement of the PI claim whilst supervising a small team of fee earners and providing technical support to the team.
- Preparing accurate accounts on Deputyship cases including forecasts of expenditure on Deputyship and Trustee cases, including creating budgets to ensure funding sustainability.
- Arrange for relevant Deputyship/Trustee cost witness statements on cases pre settlement.
- Drafting of wills and LPA’s as necessary for both existing and new clients
- Completion of probate forms and oaths to enable Grants of Representation to be obtained in fatality cases within the organisation.
- Delegate and supervise tasks to junior team members where appropriate.
- Attending one-on-one meetings with team members to provide technical guidance.
- Carrying out biannual appraisals and 1-to-1s on a quarterly basis
- Holding regular team meetings and training sessions
- To actively engage in business development plans and where appropriate to engage with sources of work at their places of business (typically in trauma centres)
- Production of MI and reports to the Directors and Heads of Department as and when required.
