**Role - Male Care Assistant**
**Location - Lower Freystrop, Haverfordwest**
**Salary -?£18,772.00 to £21,403.20?based on 38 hours per week.**
Your patience, empathy and caring nature make you the ideal person to support the individuals who live at our home 10 minute drive south of Haverfordwest (15 minutes via bus).
Much of your role will be spent supporting autistic adults with day-to-day tasks, enabling them the opportunity to live as independent and fulfilling life as possible. On good days, you’ll take them on day trips - The residents within this service love to goout walking in the beautiful Welsh countryside, stopping off at a café or visiting one of the local social clubs. You’ll help them prepare meals, take them shopping and ensure they get the support they need to make independent decisions.
Other days, you’ll need to take on a more “Carer” focused role, helping vulnerable adults with personal hygiene and care. Sometimes, if the person you’re supporting is having a hard day, you’ll need to support and keep them safe whilst they calm down. it’sok though, you’ll be given all the training you need. There will be hard days, but the good days make it all worthwhile.
**A day in the life of a Male Care Assistant with Orbis Education and Care Involves**:

- Providing tailored support to the autistic adults using our services.
- Assisting our Supported Individuals with day-to-day tasks and decision making.
- Promoting independence by supporting with a range of educational, social and work-based activities.
- Undertaking general housekeeping duties, plus elements of personal care.
- Maintaining accurate record keeping of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise.

**To be a successful Male Care Assistant with Orbis Education and Care, you’ll need**:

- The flexibility to work weekends.
- The flexibility to be able to work shifts that start as early as 7:30am and finish as late as 10pm.
- A can-do attitude, resilient and reliable nature.
- Compassion and empathy.
- Enthusiasm to promote independence & choice.
- The ability to work flexibly.
- Previous care experience preferred but not essential.
