We are recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to join a fast-paced growing business

Our client is a multi-disciplined business with sites across the Northwest and Yorkshire with future sites planned over the next 5 years with ambitious expansion plans.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The role is integral in providing support to our transport and planning department through many different responsibilities, helping to ensure the smooth day to day running of the business.
Good communication and telephone manners are essential as the role will involve liaising with our drivers and internal and external customers.
We are looking for someone who has experience in working with all Microsoft Office programs. Some experience in a planning or transport role is preferable but not essential.
A proactive and positive, keen to learn attitude is essential; we are looking for someone who has a strong interest in developing themselves and a career in an engineering environment.
We work in a fast-paced office environment so the ability to use your own initiative and be able to effectively prioritise your workload is very important.
THE ROLE - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking control of all Fleet vehicles (cars and wagons) including but not limited to.
- Vehicle Tax.
- Vehicle insurance.
- Dart charge/Congestion Charge set up.
- Ensuring all vehicles are serviced on time.
- Vehicle allocation.
- Driving license checks for all employees.
- Updating of Vehicle Files.
- Route Planning for haulage vehicles
- Dealing with breakdowns and other driver issues e.g. location queries.
- Creating and managing data on spreadsheets.

From our inception as a local quarry operator, the business has developed into a leading specialist that provides land remediation, leisure space development, and site operations.
